Platinum Level STEP Awarded to D.H. Griffin Construction

Raleigh, NC (October 30, 2007) — D.H. Griffin Construction was awarded the Platinum Level STEP Award by the Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas. The Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) program was developed and written by contractors, for contractors. Program benefits are: an organized approach for analyzing and developing safety and loss prevention programs, a valid, objective method for measuring safety program improvements, and a safety performance recognition useful in business development.

D.H. Griffin Construction Company Receives NC Department of Labor Gold Safety Award

Raleigh, NC (February 12, 2007) — D.H. Griffin Construction Company has been selected to receive the NC Department of Labor (NCDOL) Gold Safety Award. The NC Department of Labor awards program annually recognizes private firms throughout the state that achieve and maintain an excellent safety record. In 2006, only 1,500 awards were issued throughout North Carolina. To be eligible for the Gold Safety Award, the company must have had no fatalities in the calendar year and maintained a lost work case rate at least 50 percent below the national average. The award will be presented by the Commissioner of Labor, Cherie Berry, on June 22, 2007. We are very excited that D.H.
