D.H. Griffin/Metcon, A Joint Venture, has been selected as the CMAR for High School "H-10"
The Joint Venture of D.H. Griffin Construction Co. and Metcon, Inc. has been chosen as the construction manager at risk for Wake County's new West Apex High School "H-10". The new $50 million facility will be approximately 307,000-sq.-ft. and is designed to accommodate 2,200 students.

Guilford County Jail Receives High Safety Marks
The Guilford County Jail project has received high marks for safety from the N.C. Department of Labor. D.H. Griffin and Balfour Beatty partnered with the Department of Labor last January. According to N.C. Labor Commissioner, Cherie Berry, the relationship has been very positive and is a benefit for the company and the public. This relationship contributes to D.H. Griffin delivering the highest standard of quality in a safe environment.

Ribbon-Cutting for New Academic Classroom at N.C. A&T
The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Academic Classroom building at North Carolina A&T State University was held at 1p.m. The building, which is located in the center of campus, houses state-of-the-art equipment and a stunning atrium. Green technology has been incorporated throughout the entire facility. The facility houses 88,000 square feet of new academic space, including medium and large lecture rooms, tiered classrooms and distance learning and collaborative styled classrooms.

The project generally includes approximately 5.602 total miles of trail construction, consisting of new 10 foot wide trail construction, 1 bridge over the Neuse River, 4 bridges over tributaries to the Neuse River, 1 Pedestrian Culvert, new boardwalk construction, associated clearing, drainage, erosion control, signage, and construction of 2 trailheads.

This is 7.22 total miles of trail construction, consisting of new 10 foot wide trail construction, one suspension bridge over the Neuse River, 2 prefabricated bridges over the Neuse River, 3 bridges over tributaries to the Neuse River, new boardwalk, associated clearing, drainage, erosion control, signage, and construction of 2 trailheads.
